Intensive Capacity Building
The goal of the Intensive Capacity Building (ICB) is to increase the capacity of targeted primary medical care sites and Ryan White CARE Act funded primary care sites severely impacted by the 2005 hurricanes through intensive capacity building activities. HealthHIV coordinates ICB.
What is ICB?
Intensive Capacity Building provides selected, eligible organization with a package of assistance that is comprehensive in scope and longer in duration. This package is tailored to each awarded organization based on an Organizational Diagnosis (OD). The OD provides information to design appropriate interventions to develop, improve, or expand ICB recipient’s capacity to deliver HIV primary medical care services. The information collected in the OD is assessed from the following five core organizational competencies:
1. Infrastructure and systems;
2. Financial management;
3. Management information systems;
4. Program/service development and delivery; and
5. Clinical HIV services development and delivery.
In addition, the ICB package includes funding, for one-time costs based on level of need.
For information about ICB, please contact Brad Ward, ICB manager, at (202) 232-6749 or by email.
While registration is not open at this time, we encourage you to apply for other SNHC by EPMC services, by completing an online eligibility questionnaire and Request for Service (RFS). Go to the How to Apply page of this website to learning about the general application process.
