Medical Management of HIV/AIDS
Sponsored by the University of California San Francisco, School of Medicine, the Medical Management of HIV/AIDS symposium provided the active clinician (with at least an intermediate level of HIV knowledge) a comprehensive review of the science and application of HIV therapy. Lectures were presented by a group of leading clinicians and researchers who also taught in their area of expertise. Topics addressed included current dilemmas in antiretroviral therapy, the nature of the immune response to HIV therapy, complimentary medicine, common metabolic and drug toxicities, as well as HIV/HCV/HBV co-infection. This symposium familiarized attendees with the latest concepts in HIV science and medicine.
